Artist profile and contact info...

After years of fronting and managing her very own Blues/R and B band, Little Mary has picked up the acoustic guitar and gone solo. Regional touring, booking and promotion of a 5 piece band is a tough job, but one that has left powerful memories and an incredible scrapbook. This 'personal, music scrapbook' includes working with some of Denver, Colorado's finest musicians, along with sharing the stage and festival bill with Kim Simmonds, Keb Mo, Candye Kane, Pinetop Perkins, Big Bill Morganfield, Coco Montoya, Myra Taylor, Cotton Candy and many more. Stay tuned for more info and pictures to be shared very soon on this website page.

Since moving from Colorado to Ohio (in 2006) Little Mary's creative focus has been in writing and recording her original music. In 2007, Donald Thrather, Dayton Daily News included Little Mary's '24 Months and 63 Days' release in his 'Top 25 Local CD's of 07'; a landmark validation for this independent recording artist and song writer.

Smaller recording projects have been completed over the past few years, including 'Path of Love' and a digital re-release of Little Mary's 1996 original recording 'Virgin's Can't Sing The Blues'.

If you can find Little Mary playing a live show in the Dayton area, you will find her acoustic show to be greatly driven by the roots music her mother raised her on, Folk, Bluegrass, Gospel and early Jazz. Her current sound includes the influences of Rock and Roll and Blues on a simple 6 string guitar, along with a little slide guitar styling thrown in. Personal and crowd favorites are those ornery Blues songs from the 20's, 30's and 40's with just a bit of 'innuendo' thrown in to make you giggle and smile.

Little Mary is also available for select private parties and events. For more information, please feel free to email her at littlemarysblues@yahoo.com or call 303-810-4849.

Thank you for keeping independent music alive!
