A funny thing about Blues,

you never know where it will take you.

Created for a classroom setting, ‘Miss Mary’ works with the teachers and directors of area preschool centers in the Centerville, Ohio area to create learning-based programs that teach language, numbers, and science through music. It’s not just about dinosaurs and the alphabet️; through movement and music the entire classroom learns about the planets and solar system, about the animals we share our planet with, and about how to be kind and work together, although this is just to name a few of the subjects covered.

These music programs combine interactive learning, movement and musical fun for 18 month olds up to 7 year olds.

LITTLE MARY, OTHER LOCAL PERFORMANCES

Little Mary is available for special events, providing an entertaining selection of acoustic guitar led Folk Blues, Gospel and Yiddish influenced arrangements.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

After years of fronting and managing a successful Denver-based  R and B band, ‘Little Mary’ moved to Ohio in 2006 and her music path moved in a very different direction.

Focusing on the acoustic guitar, her new solo act featured Blues and Folk favorites. On special occasions you may find her at coffee shops, wine bars, select festivals and private events in the Southern Ohio area, although the majority of her music time is now spent playing music with children.

LITTLE MARY

Prior to leaving Denver, ‘Little Mary and her Hometown Boogie Kings’ had many years of successful festival and club events along the Front Range, including Summer tours into Kansas City and along the Mississippi Valley.  Her final studio project with this line up sold over 2000 copies of their self produced, self promoted CD, and was picked up by independent Blues stations across the US.

Other studio projects, include:

‘Live and On The Road’ and ‘Virgins Can’t Sing the Blues’ and ’24 Months and 63 Days’ featured musicians and independent producers from across the US;

‘Live and On The Road’ was also picked up by Blues stations in Sweden and Germany.
